With Us
Wake Up
Our core working hours for apprentices and dual students are from 9 am to 4 pm. Beyond that, however, you decide at what time you want to wake up and start your working day. The main thing is that your working hours are compatible with your meetings.
Coffee
As soon as you arrive at our office, you can start your day with a coffee, tea or other (hot) drink. This makes checking your mails much easier. Coffee and tea are of course free of charge and in organic quality.
Daily with your mentor
Especially at the beginning, you will have a daily meeting with your mentor to discuss your daily work packages and get introduced to the work at p78. He or she will be your first point of contact throughout your studies or apprenticeship if you have any questions or problems.
Lunch
We usually all have lunch together. You can either heat up your own food in our kitchen or get something to eat at one of the many snack bars and restaurants on Leopoldstraße. In the summer we especially like to enjoy our meal on our beautiful rooftop terrace.
(Online) meetings
As a (technical) consultant you will be in contact with customers a lot. But don't worry: At the first customer meetings and workshops you will only watch and then from time to time you will be able to participate more and more actively. In addition to customer meetings, you will also participate in regular meetings with your team or the entire p78 family. For example, the p78 "All Hands" meeting is held quarterly, where our CEO gives an overview of the business figures, introduces new employees and shares other news with the employees.
Ping-pong
We are especially proud of our ping-pong table and find time almost every day, especially in the summer, for a round or two of doubles, singles or round robin. And don't worry if you've never played ping-pong before - we're sure you'll learn.
Drinks
We attach great importance to a good team spirit, which is why we like to have a beer or play ping-pong together after work. Especially when colleagues who live outside of Munich come to visit, there are usually always a few of us who get together for an after-work drink.
the BASIS
The Three Pillars
The training as well as the dual study program at p78 is based on three pillars:
Mentorship, Training on the job, and Self-study.
Mentorship
To make your start with us easier, you will be assigned a mentor. This person will support you in your arrival at p78, help you with organizational issues, familiarize you with the special features of our company and take responsibility for your professional training..
Training on the Job
Every trainee and dual student works with us on customer projects from the very beginning, giving them the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge in practice and expand their specialist expertise.
Self-study
In addition, our junior employees are given enough time to acquire specialist knowledge independently via various online tools provided.
YOU HAVE THE CHOICE
Our Cooperation Partners
As one of the "Best Trainers in Germany" in the dual study category, we have been offering places in an integrated degree program in cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences Munich (Hochschule München) since 2013. Furthermore, in cooperation with the private FOM University of Economics & Management, we offer the possibility of studying part-time or in the form of evening studies. You can also complete a dual master's program with us in cooperation with the University of Applied Management (HAM).
In 2021, we expanded our offering to include apprenticeships for IT specialists in the field of application development and are cooperating with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Munich and Upper Bavaria in this regard.
Since 2024, the FOM University of Applied Sciences, in cooperation with the vocational school for information technology, has been offering committed students the opportunity to complete a double degree. You can choose whether to complete a degree at the FOM (evenings/weekends) together with p78 in parallel with your apprenticeship as an IT specialist in the field of application development or to start your studies after your apprenticeship. A particular advantage of this program is that you can receive credit for the content of your apprenticeship and thus complete your studies in a shorter period of time. If you have any questions on this topic, please do not hesitate to contact us.

What are your areas of responsibility at p78?
Currently, I support p78 in various areas, including assisting my colleagues with programming and creating how-to guides for internal employee training. These guides are designed to help colleagues confidently tackle new and complex tasks, even if they have no prior experience with them. I’m also actively involved in exciting client projects, where I perform software customizations to ensure a smooth and engaging user experience for the clients.
What do you especially enjoy about working at p78?
What I particularly enjoy about working at p78 is the fantastic team spirit. There’s always time for a bit of fun, and even when projects get intense and the pressure of go-live builds, team motivation remains high. Project leads and colleagues constantly support each other, and I receive guidance and explanations with every new challenge. There’s a real emphasis on learning and growing together to make the company even more successful.
What makes a consultant’s day unique for you?
What makes the daily consulting work at p78 so unique is that no two days are alike. I get the chance to work on diverse client projects, develop tailored solutions, and work with various technologies. Each client brings new requirements, keeping the work dynamic and engaging. I find it especially motivating to collaborate with clients to create customized solutions that truly add value.
What has been your most memorable moment at p78 so far?
It’s really hard to choose just one moment, as I’ve already had so many unforgettable experiences at p78, even though I’ve only been here for six months. One highlight was definitely the workation in Norway, where I got to meet the entire team for the first time. From dog sledding to cooking together after a day of skiing, we made so many memories. Lunchtime rooftop barbecues in the summer or celebrating together at Oktoberfest are other experiences that I’ve never had at any other company. Each of these moments makes working at p78 truly special.
Why did you choose to pursue training with p78?
For me, it was "love at first sight." As I scrolled through job listings and came across p78 (back then still known as projekt0708), I immediately knew this company was a perfect fit for me. From the very first interview, I was thrilled, and every step in the application process showed me I was making the right choice. The friendly atmosphere and openness convinced me to start and complete my training here. Funnily enough, my gamer tag also ends in “0078”—maybe a bit of fate!
What qualities should candidates bring for a training program at p78?
In my opinion, candidates for a training program at p78 should bring enthusiasm and a desire to learn. An interest in technology and software development is, of course, essential, but so are curiosity and the willingness to grow continuously. Since p78 places a strong emphasis on team spirit, it’s also important to work well in a team and be open to sharing knowledge and ideas. Flexibility and the ability to adapt to new tasks complete the profile.

In the marketing team, I support my colleagues with day-to-day tasks. We work closely with various departments to create customer-centered marketing. Alongside managing the website, I organize webinars, assist with our social media presence, and help plan various events.
Why did you choose a dual study program?
After graduating from high school, I was eager to start working and gain practical experience, while still studying on the side. The balance between work and study gives me the opportunity to apply the theory I learn directly in practice.
What makes working at p78 special for you?
Definitely the friendly colleagues and work environment. Everyone is open and helpful. A major advantage is the flexibility in working hours and the option to work from home. The best part, though, is the social activities after work—from LAN parties and girls’ nights to the annual company Oktoberfest.
In your opinion, what should applicants bring for a dual study program at p78?
In my opinion, applicants should be responsible, open to new things, and enjoy working in a team.
